Farran’s Point, Ontario, Canada

The King’s Highway No 2, mostly intact under the waters of the St Lawrence River, still connects the lost villages to each other. Here and there the asphalt rises above the surface on what are now islands in Lake St Lawrence. This is the highway, near Farran’s Point, named after Jacob Farrand, an officer in the King’s Royal Regiment of New York. At low water one can still walk/wade along some of Farran’s Point’s sidewalks.
